Seaire’s Lagoon Is Open to Residents. Starting in 2027, Everyone Gets a Turn.
If you’ve driven past the corner of Moccasin Wallow Road and Carter Road lately, you’ve seen it: 4.5 acres of clear water, glowing turquoise against the Parrish sky. Seaire’s lagoon opened to residents on July 4th, and they’ve spent the summer soaking it in ever since. But here’s the exciting part. Starting in 2027, that same lagoon opens its shores to the public.
Part of a Growing Lagoon Legacy
Seaire joins a growing family of Metro Development Group lagoon communities across the region, including Mirada in San Antonio (Florida’s largest at more than 15 acres), Epperson in Wesley Chapel (the first lagoon ever built within a master-planned community), Southshore Bay in Wimauma and Brightwater in North Fort Myers.
A Community Finding Its Footing Fast
Still under construction, Seaire has already sold 580 homes, about 20% of its projected 3,000, with eight builders offering townhomes starting in the high $200s and single-family homes surpassing the $800s. It’s a community finding its footing quickly, and the lagoon is a big reason why.
Coastal Living, Made More Accessible
For Lisa Gibbings, VP of Corporate Affairs at MDG, the lagoon has always been about more than a pretty view. Waterfront living usually comes with a steep price tag, higher insurance, higher taxes, real flood risk and not nearly enough availability to go around. Seaire was designed to change that math, bringing an inland coastal lifestyle and a genuine beach-relaxation feel within reach for far more people.
Built for Everyday Living
And it’s designed for real, everyday living too. Residents can golf cart straight to the lagoon and the businesses nearby, no long drive required to spend a Saturday on the water.
Seaire’s lagoon is open to residents now, and to everyone else starting in 2027.
