Metro’s MVP Realtor Program Finale Highlights a Year of Impact

Metro News - Metro’s MVP Realtor Program Finale Highlights a Year of Impact

At Metro Development Group, we’ve always believed that the best communities aren’t built in a vacuum. They’re built through relationships — with buyers, with builders, and especially with the Realtors who help people find their way home.

Last night, we had the honor of celebrating those relationships in a big way.

The Numbers Behind the Night

Over the past year, more than 2,000 home sales across Metro’s communities were made possible with the help of a Realtor. That’s not a coincidence — it’s the direct result of intentional investment in the people who know our communities best and champion them to buyers every single day.

To recognize that impact, we launched the Metro MVP Realtor Program: a year-long initiative designed to reward performance, deepen engagement, and make every participating Realtor feel like the VIP they truly are.

This year, 542 Realtors earned a combined 2,284 points through home sales, event attendance, and digital engagement across four of our communities — Angeline in Pasco County, Sandal Key in Hernando County, Seaire in Manatee County, and Southshore Bay in Hillsborough County. Together, they made an extraordinary year possible.

Prizes That Actually Mean Something

We didn’t want to just say “thank you” — we wanted to show it. More than $75,000 in prizes were distributed throughout the program, including monthly incentives like electric bikes, professional development opportunities, and exclusive lagoon experiences. Grand prizes included a brand-new car, a luxury getaway for two, and an ICON EV cart.

Collectively, the top five MVP Realtors generated more than $11 million in closings. Leading the way was Chunhong Xiao, whose outstanding performance totaled $5,649,415 in sales. That kind of dedication deserves more than a plaque — and we’re glad we could deliver.

Making Buyers Come to the Table

We also wanted to create some energy on the buyer side, and our Tour and Score Sweepstakes did exactly that. Nearly 200 entries came in from prospective buyers who toured model homes across participating Metro communities for a chance to win a VIP Tampa Bay Buccaneers experience and an ICON EV Cart. Congratulations to winners Evan Langston from Seaire and Allen Lizardo from Sandal Key — we hope you love every minute of those prizes.

Why This Matters to Us

More than 70% of homes in Metro’s communities are sold with the help of a Realtor. That statistic says everything. Our Realtor partners aren’t just part of the process — they’re central to it. They carry our story into conversations we’d never have on our own, and they connect buyers to a lifestyle that goes well beyond four walls.

As Lisa Gibbings, Metro’s Vice President of Corporate Affairs, put it: “Realtors are at the center of everything we do, and we want them to know how much we value their dedication, hard work and partnership. They bring our vision of inland coastal living to life every day with prospective buyers.”

Julie Goforth Birch, Metro’s Realtor Liaison, echoed that sentiment: “When Realtors succeed in our communities, we all succeed. They continue to be one of our top sources of qualified buyers, and this program was designed to support how they do business while strengthening the relationships that drive our growth.”

Looking Ahead

Last night was a celebration, but it was also a reminder of what’s possible when a developer and its Realtor community are truly aligned. We’re proud of the program we’ve built, and even more proud of the agents who showed up — for us, and for the buyers who now call our communities home.
