Metro Development Group is partnering with US Ignite, a non-profit organization that fosters the creation of next-generation internet applications, to develop The Connected City Corridor in Pasco County, Florida.
US Ignite works with Smart Gigabit Communities across the country and designated The Connected City as the first Smart Gigabit Community in the United States to be built from the ground up with a gigabit fiber network.
As the community is developed, US Ignite will work with Metro to share best practices from other smart cities it has worked with, including how to use gigabit technology to recruit innovative, tech-focused companies to the area.
