Metro Development Group will commemorate the first-ever Crystal Lagoons\u2019 amenity in the U.S. with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/epperson.metroplaces.com\/\">Epperson<\/a>\u00a0on Friday, January 5, 2018.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMetro Development Group is excited to be the first to bring this amazing amenity to the U.S.,\u201d said Greg Singleton, President, Metro Development Group. \u201cWe have celebrated many milestones with Crystal Lagoons over the past two years and we are proud to have earned the distinction of being the first developer to inaugurate a Crystal Lagoons\u2019 amenity in the U.S.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-1289\" src=\"https:\/\/metrodevelopmentgroup.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/07\/Official_Seal_Lagoon_Full_Metro-300x194-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"194\" \/><\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are pleased to have the first official Crystal Lagoons\u2019 amenity in the U.S. with our valued partners, Metro Development Group,\u201d said Kevin P. We look forward to continuing our partnership as Epperson is just the\u00a0first of five\u00a0lagoon projects we currently have with Metro.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Residents will soon enjoy the 7.5-acre crystal-clear lagoon and a variety of aquatic recreational activities, such as swimming, kayaking, stand-up paddle boarding and even using small (non-motorized) sailboats. The lagoon at Epperson will have exciting features, including a waterslide, private cabanas, in-water obstacle platform, swim-up bar, tidal pool, restaurant, family beach, yoga lawn, an entertainment plaza, an area for special events and much more.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Metro Development Group partnered with Crystal Lagoons back in September 2015 to be the first developer to bring these crystal-clear lagoons to the U.S. Epperson is the first of five lagoon projects that Metro is building in Florida. Metro is the first U.S. developer to get approved plans, first to break-ground, and now Metro is the first developer to fill a Crystal Lagoons\u2019 amenity in the U.S.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Now that the first of Metro\u2019s five planned lagoons is full, the others won\u2019t be too far behind. Metro Development Group will soon break ground on a second Lagoon at the Metro Places community\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/southshorebay.metroplaces.com\/\">Southshore Bay<\/a>, located in Southern Hillsborough County in early 2018. Upon completion, each lagoon uses 50 times less water compared to a park of the same size and 30 times less water than an 18-hole golf course. The lagoon is maintained by Crystal Lagoons\u2019 ultra-sonic technology that uses sensors to monitor the quality of the crystal-clear water. This sustainable technology also uses 100 times less chemicals than a traditional swimming pool and uses up to 50 times less energy than conventional pool filtration systems.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>This first full Crystal Lagoons\u2019 amenity in the nation is also part of the first ever\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.connectedcity.metrodevelopmentgroup.com\/\">Connected City<\/a>, which has been designated the first \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/metrodevelopmentgroup.com\/2016\/05\/02\/metro-development-group-wins-award-for-vision-of-broadband-technology-in-its-smart-gigabit-community\/\">Smart Gigabit Community<\/a>\u201d in the country to be built from the ground up.
