On the morning of May 30, Metro Development Group hosted a festive ribbon cutting and luau to celebrate the official opening of Brightwater Lagoon\u2014now the newest resort-style destination in North Fort Myers and the southernmost lagoon community in Metro\u2019s portfolio.<\/p>\n
Local officials, builders, and community partners gathered to commemorate the opening of Lee County\u2019s first man-made lagoon with tropical-themed entertainment and a ceremonial ribbon cutting. Surrounded by 6 acres of clear blue water, sandy beaches, and palm-lined lounging areas, Brightwater Lagoon offers a new standard for recreation, relaxation, and connection in Southwest Florida.<\/p>\n
While the event itself was a private celebration, the Lagoon is now open to the public and offers a wide range of amenities including a swim-up bar, waterslide, splash pad, floating obstacle course, and kayak and paddleboard rentals. Guests can also enjoy rotating food trucks, VIP experiences at Cabana Cove, and ongoing programming for all ages.<\/p>\n
